Albert Camus (1913–1960) was born into poverty in French Algeria, raised by a nearly deaf mother after his father died in World War I. Yet from those humble beginnings, he became one of the 20th century’s most powerful writers and thinkers. Camus lived through war, poverty, political conflict, and the haunting question of whether life has any meaning at all. Instead of surrendering to despair, he argued that even in an absurd and indifferent world, humans could choose freedom, courage, and rebellion. His novels The Stranger and The Plague transformed these ideas into unforgettable stories of isolation, suffering, morality, and resistance. In 1957, at just 44, he received the Nobel Prize in Literature, becoming one of its youngest recipients. Three years later, Camus died suddenly in a car crash at only 46. His life was short, but his questions were eternal: If life has no guaranteed meaning, how should we live? Camus never gave an easy answer. He simply urged us to live fiercely—without illusions, without surrender, and with the courage to create our own meaning. #AlbertCamus #Philosophy #DeepThoughts #Existentialism #Literature ...
