went from $1300 a month to $500 a month just by moving in with someone. Living with someone you trust is easily the best way to save money.

not gonna lie, you can keep giving me budgeting tips cause I feel like I suck at it, and I'm still in internship and being more than half supported by my parents. Any tips or apps to see where I'm losing the most money????

As a seasonal tax associate, I can agree please do your taxes And that $200-$300 difference is probably the social Security and Medicaid because you do have to pay into that no matter what

In the uk when you work as employed by an employer taxes are just taken off your paycheques before they money hits your account if you earn a certain wage amount. I’m so grateful that we don’t have to do the whole taxes thing

Saved to my Life Tips folder now. Much thanks, my gf and I likely will find good use for this as two disabled people that are looking to build up becoming content creators. She's actually gonna be able to sign up for freebes soon too 🥰

Dare I say if you have a job on the side the money you make with that goes to your life. If you want to spoil yourself get something small with the influencer money while also putting some away in sa ing

Can confirm the taxes. My dad's uncle lost a million+ dollar horse farm. That was 1940s/50s money. I worked with someone that was working two extra jobs just to pay off her taxes. Also l, love below your means and start investing for your retirement!

yeah tax coming out before you get your pay is standard. I'm pretty sure there isn't a developed country that doesn't do it that way.

I’m not an influencer but I am a 1099 employee and I put away 35% of every paycheck into a savings account and have my CPA estimate quarterly taxes which I pay every quarter and that way at the end of the year I only owe a little bit rather than a surprise $50,000

Learn the actual definition of items that qualify as a business expense for tax write off purposes. I promise you it is not going to cover most of things people tell you. Additionally the IRS is slowwwww you won’t get hit with that Audit for a few years but your unpaid/incorrectly paid balances start accruing interest and penalties even before the error is caught or audit launched.

I know it isn’t going to be completely the same considering that I’m in the UK and wages and prices are very different over here, but as an almost 16 year old looking for a weekend job and holiday job, how do you recommend starting a budget abd saving because as soon as I get money I want to spend it

with a commission type revenue stream it is best to assume you need a year's expenses in the bank. stuff happens and you don't want to have a medical expense and a drop in income and a car repair bill all at the same time. e.g. a car crash, medical bills because of the crash and you can't work while you heal. just my two cents worth
