You are very judgemental lately in your videos. You angry about something?

This type of thinking isn’t really low or high IQ it’s very random like it covers people who waste their potential and stay static but also someone like Leonardo Da Vinci was very much an off or on person like you described. I also don’t think consistency is always good, sometimes it’s better to take breaks, even very long ones, before the spark comes back

i always thought saying 'I'm going to do it 100 percent or not at all' was an excuse for not doing it

As someone with adhd it’s really not a choice, it’s very hard being consistent so those random bursts are what makes us actually work well, we finish the work in hyperfocus in days for things that could’ve gotten other weeks

this consistency is mostly for developed countries and privileged people, if you are not privileged in a developing country aka 3rd world country, your consistency will always be a waste of time.

My brother literally told his 3 yo daughter “do it right or don’t do it at all”. She was decorating a sugar cookie.

At the end of the day, maybe it depends on how you view success, how you measure it, only then you can think about the habits and micro/macro transformations demanded is and define the intensity/consistency/etc… some things you do may become an obsession, some others are just a curiosity you enjoy exploring lightly

Stars were crafted from a burst and yet a sword is shaped by consistency. I don’t think it’s low IQ either way.

The all or nothing mindset can also set you up for failure. Thinking like that will be detrimental the minute you meet the first inconvenience or obstacle in whatever you’re trying to do and you will give up entirely.

Perhaps the following applies in part 😉. One general idea l wonder about regarding those of us who are highly motivated personalities have been in competitive environments and therefore may have higher levels of adrenaline & reactivity, is if our insight can take the form of ridicule towards those we deal with who may lack such insight. We are naturally competitive so l wonder if our ridicule serves as a part of strengthening our identity in relation to how we view coworkers & superiors. In my case l felt disadvantaged because l, who have an undergrad, was in a project with someone with a Phd (unrelated to our project). l realized my judgement was born out, in my opinion, to be correct. It was great for my self confidence and I went on to just marvel at the emotional stupidity of this individual and wondered how they made it as far as they had. I also wonder if ridicule serves to reinforce and help us sharpen and retain a particular insight as well as incorporate it as another of our reasons to feel good/confident about ourselves especially in the competitive environment.

Black and white thinking is a recognised cognitive distortion. It manifests in many different ways. I have found that all my peace of mind, happiness and progress lives in theillions shades of gray. [Big LOL]

Could be a matter of semantics, since "doing it 100%" is exactly what I would consider being consistent and not be derailed by small deviations. I could see me saying it, meaning I tend to commit for the long-term, rather than picking things up and abandoning them a few months later for the next thing?
