you should lookup how the Romans made concrete. I believe they had chuncks of calcium hydroxide that reacted with water to fix cracks. cob would make this go a lot further to, grass or fibers is rebar. built around a skeleton like bamboo or stone(like a mortar) it can turn that 8x8x1ft of material. Into a 8ft diameter dome home(self supporting), just add grass!

yes, I have built both mud brick and pise walls. economically effective, sound heat and cold insulating, and if treated with respect, will last many centuries. 🙂👏
