Look up life in Iran 1960s and 70s it was a beautiful, developed country. The Islamic revolution set them back 200 years. Dont think it couldn’t happen in other nations too…..

iran isn't the center of the shia world it would be iraq, iraq was shia before iran was even muslim, and most shia scholars are from or studied in iraq

The names are only similar in English, in their own languages, Iraq comes from Uruk an ancient city, while Iran comes from the word Aryan as in “Land of the Aryans”

It’s worth mentioning that during Iran’s imperial periods Iraq was very much a part of the core of their empire. For long stretches of time the Capitol city was in Iraq at Ctesiphon.

Iraq has a longer Shi'a tradition and is considered a center of thought. All the major Iranian leaders studied in Najaf, including the architect of the revolution himself. The relationship between Iran and Iraq is ancient, with each influencing the other culturally and religiously. From the time of Babylon to the present day, both states fought each other and allied with each other; the influence of both states still exists to this day.

In Arabic and Farsi the names aren’t that close, they aren’t spelled similarly. English just doesn’t have a sound equivalent to the Arabic ع (a voiced pharyngeal fricative (/ʕ/)) which is the first letter of the word Iraq. Iran - ايران and Iraq - عراق

A couple things Iraq stayed diverse it did not just pop away and Aramaic is still spoken to this day think of the Syriacs (Christians) who speak Assyrian Neo-Aramaic & Turoyo with Classical Syriac as liturgical language, The Iraq Jews who spoke and some still speak Judeo-Aramaic and the Mandaeans (who have their own religion Mandaism or Mandayūthā in Mandaic) of whom some speak Neo-Mandaic and the ganzinbras/ ginzibras (priests) speaking the liturgical language Classical Mandaic-Aramaic. Iraq didn't randomly become Arab it got arabized but many of the traditions and the garment itself are of Mesopotamian origin it's not that they became Arab it's that Arabic fused with the local Aramaic dialects and that aspects of the actual Arab culture fused with the already existing cultures. Ahwaz/ Khuzestan/ Arabestan is the region where Iraq and Iran fought and the land Iraq wanted to gain out of the war this land is tied to Iraqi culture it's not only the recourses or coast they want the inhabitants of that region are the Arabized Mesopotamians that are found in southern Iraq and they speak Southern Mesopotamian Arabic and there are also the Mandaeans (Southeastern Arameans) who are tied to South Eastern and Central Iraq so that was also an important factor for the war. As for the war with Kuwait you forgot to mention that Kuwait was slant drilling and stealing Iraqi oil about 2B dollars of oil was allegedly stolen it's a fact that Kuwait did this. not relevant but just fun fact I guess: Zaidi pronounced zaydi (ay like bay)
