This happened to me on a phone call the other day. They wants information they have never needed before so I asked for a manager and they pushed back. So instead I said “I will just call back and see if the next person does it.” They did. I asked them to tell Mark.

My new favorite is “yeah I’m gonna need a manager” and I’ve now decided I’ll be going “let me get him” then walking away and coming back and asking what I can do for them. Not sure how the collar and my problem solving doesn’t show you I’m in charge.
