They were heading to San Francisco for work and then a vacation in the California wine country to celebrate her 47th birthday, in two days’ time. Her sister Elsa was driving her two sons to school near their home in Amherst, New Hampshire and heard the news of the plane crashes on the radio. 'It felt very personal, because it was New York, where I lived for a couple of years when I graduated college,' she told The Southampton Press on the 20th anniversary of the tragedy. 'But the second feeling that happened very quickly was, “Oh my God.
