Here's the problem: forcefully rupturing a cyst like this can cause significant pain, bruising, or even damage to the surrounding tendons, nerves, or blood vessels. And even if the cyst does pop, there's a very high chance it simply refills and comes right back, since you haven't addressed the underlying connection to the joint or tendon sheath. The safer, more effective options include aspiration, where a doctor drains the fluid with a needle, or surgical removal for cysts that keep recurring or are causing pain and limited mobility.
