Ok, levothyroxine mindhive… I am 3 months in on 50mcg and my labs look good at my last checkin… but I’m having extreme heat sensitivity. Like heat exhaustion(profuse sweating/cramps/vomiting/etc) bordering heat stroke last weekend at an activity I would normally have zero problems with 3 months ago, and suuuper tired, I start the day at like 75% exhausted now. I have been having these issues since starting the medication and was just giving my body time to acclimate, but it’s crossing over into a dangerous zone.

This is why my Endocrinologist told me to stay on Synthroid. Different manufacturers often vary in their potency. When you receive generic you don’t have the control over which manufacturer you’re receiving. My insurance will not pay for Synthroid so I buy it direct. It’s cheaper than going through the pharmacy as self pay. Crazy what we have to go through to feel normal.

I take 150 mg every morning because i had a thyroidectomy 4 years ago due to a 13 cm goiter and that was due to a doc who just kept telling me to monitor it and after 13 years it grew to big and ended up crushing my wind pipe..yeah so now im stuck on a med that i was lied to about it

Was on generic for so long and my TSH just getting higher and higher. Finally switched to Synthroid and my TSH shot down so quick lol
