Went to the doctor recently and the pulse ox read 93%. I know what 93% feels like, and I wasn’t at 93%. Switched fingers and it was 98%. No idea what’s wrong with my left index finger, but I no longer trust it.

Where I grew up, asking "how many fingers DID you have?" is a very reasonable and expected question because people just can't stop sticking their hands into the sharp/turny parts of running farm machinery to remove whatever's jamming it up
