Buena Vista Social Club at the Gerald Schoenfeld is the kind of show where the live band is so good you forget you’re in a theatre — you’re just there, somewhere warmer, with music that feels like it’s been waiting years to reach you. The Cuban son and bolero, those voices, the way the whole room was on its feet by the end — I’ve never felt an audience give itself over like that.
