But… life shouldn’t be measured by how much money you have in my opinion, to me life should be measured by the experiences you had and to have experiences you need money. I would much rather be on my deathbed looking back at all the memories that I made and experiences that I had than look back and say whelp I’ve got a shit ton of money to leave my kids but they have no wonderful memories or experiences to reflect back and remember me by.

I wouldn't mind having mental poverty only. Mental and physical poverty together, are terrible. Having a full time job and another part time job and still having just enough money to be broke is not good. Give me the mental poverty every time.

I've always felt safe. No matter what financial position that I've lived in, which I've lived in quite a few different ones, because my safety isn't about money, it's about the people around me. It's about knowing I'm a daughter of God and he'll protect me when my husband died. After 50 years of being together. I. still felt safe because I knew he was watching over me.So it's never been about how much is in the bank.

Chris! I had my “Salty” t-shirt on yesterday. LOL! Currently make more money than I ever have in my life and also find myself concerned more about financial stability because I am now a widow. Would love to retire but the concern of having enough weighs on my mind sometimes. It makes me a little discouraged to think I can’t retire when I would like. Just hadn’t thought about being a widow at this age staring at my future knowing how alone I truly am. God has always provided and I try to voice my gratitude for all He has done for me to shift my thoughts. Seems like it is a frequent battle lately. Thank you for the words of wisdom!
