described my ex-husband totally!! so charming so funny everybody loves him. Nobody can believe me. They all think that I’m the terrible person who was abusive. I live alone now he’s made sure that I have barely any friends or family left - my two children are completely and totally on his side. It’s a hard life - but at least I’m no no longer being abused by him .

When the barber shop ignored my request and cut all the hair off the top of my head, he told me that it could have been worse, because his leg was on fire in a house fire. But yes, that was an awful thing for him to had to experience. But the reason I was lashing out was because I was happy to have hair back after previously cutting it all off from being borderline slipperslide.

Many traits can be picked up by being around the Narc for so long which you won’t be aware of at first. The key is if you recognise it and want to change or do better you aren’t the narc.
