It’s genuinely never too late. I’ve seen people start in there 60s. There is this woman on my local circuit who’s like 78 and shows in the 2’3. Everyone thinks she’s cool as fuck.

You can always go back. I’m trying to go back right now and it’s frustrating having lost so much muscle but I just keep showing up and working hard.

Hi, trainer and instructor here- I have several clients OVER 50 who JUST started riding. They have picked it up just fine and love it all the same. It is never, EVER too late. Follow your dreams and your heart! Horses are amazing. Never pass something up because of time- all we have is time, and it passes anyway. Do it. ❤️🐴

I used to volunteer at stables since I was 14 and I loved horses but could never afford my own. I barely rode and didn’t know how to tack up a horse. I’m 22 and I found a guy who is retired and is gone too often to take care of his old mare. I’m learning how to do everything mainly by myself and with the help of others around me. It’s never too late.

I started at 25 and still learning to trot. It’s hard bc my bones and muscle movement aren’t as trained, but I do it BECAUSE I LOVE IT

My grandma was a very sickly child that was obsessed with horses. When she was 27 she got a farm and got horses. She's the one who taught me to ride. 😊 I'm also 30 now. Make sure to stretch your legs before.

Hey babe. I "rode" off and on my whole life. Family's horses, friends, trail rides any time I could. I started taking lessons last year when my then 11 year old wanted to. I was 39. Is it harder? Probably. Am I still doing it? Absolutely! If you've already been riding, you will be fine in a few years. Yes, you may need to relearn a few things. But you got it!

girl no, there's no age limit on when you can start riding or return to riding. anyone who thinks there is, is just stuck up bc their parents handed everything to them and never taught them humility or gratitude. ive seen facebook groups of older women (like 50+) who ride! it's very eye opening and inspirational. some of them are new and some have been doing it a long time, but nonetheless- ☺️

It’s not too late unless you’re dead. If you’ve got a pulse you can get back to it when you’re ready.
