He is a dedicated wrestler and football player —a young man who should be focused on graduating, competing alongside his teammates, and planning his future. Instead, Emmanuel was reportedly pulled over on his way to school for a simple speeding violation. Rather than receiving a ticket and continuing through the normal legal process, his family says he was detained and is now facing transfer by ICE as soon as tomorrow. Emmanuel came to the United States legally with his family on visas. He rEt lived b since he was seven years He is a good student. He is an athlete. He is a son, friend, teammate, classmate, and valued member of our community. His family has built a life here. They work, pay taxes, attend church, and contribute to the community they call home. Yet one traffic stop may now tear their family apart. How does a teenager leave home on his way to school and suddenly find himself facing detention and possible deportation-all because of a speeding ticket? Emmanuel should be walking across the graduation stage with his classmates. He should be finishing his senior year, wrestling on the mat, playing on the football field, and prepa for the life ahead of him—senior year, wrestling on the mat, playing on the football field, and preparing for the life ahead of him— not sitting in detention wondering whether he will be ripped away from his family and the only country he remembers. This is bigger than Emmanuel. Recent decisions affecting Temporary Protected Status have placed hundrews of thousands of Haitian people at risk of detention and deportation. These are our students, neighbors, coworkers, teammates, and loved ones. They are human beings-not statistics. Emmanuel deserves compassion. He deserves due process. His family deserves answers, transparency, and the opportunity to keep fighting for him. We cannot remain silent while a young man's future is taken away overnight. Please share Emmanuel's story. Contact local officials, elected representatives, immigration advocates, and community leaders. Demand that Emmanuel's case receive immediate attention and a fair, humane review. BRING EMMANUEL HOME.
