folding area AND a rack hanging from the cealing to put empty clothes hangers on and a a drying rack (or a clothes horse i'm not sure what words you'd use) that can be hoisted to the cealing when not needed. theres always stuff one cannot put in the drier.

You have enough room to a make a family closet for the all frequently worn clothes. Fancy and out of season stuff can go in their bedrooms but the daily fold and lug upstairs would not be a a thing.

Large plastic storage shelves for the back corner and the Xmas containers. Then an outdoor rug (pick up & shake out to clean) in front of the machines for when you drop laundry. A (folding) table next to the dryer = for folding laundry. Store baskets underneath. You’re doing great!

I had a large countertop in my laundry room that I stored things under and id also stand there and fold the clothes to bring them upstairs. maybe put a radio to listen to while you do it

Yessss I finally kicked my ass in gear and spent 9 hours cleaning my entire basement last week and made a cool hang out area for my kids theyre loving it. I have the same size house and it's helped to not feel so couped up
