During the test, changed direction without checking mirrors thoroughly. should have used the MSM routine — Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre — before changing direction or position. This was a serious issue because needed to be aware of other road users, especially vehicles that could have been alongside or approaching me. The examiner considered mirror use unsafe and marked it as a serious fault. What learned 🚦 * Check the centre and appropriate side mirror before changing direction. * Check mirrors early enough to understand what is around you. * Signal when necessary, but remember that signalling does not replace checking mirrors. * Before moving, make sure it is safe and clear. * Keep checking mirrors throughout the manoeuvre, not just once.
