@dr.alinakastner: So this was a little glimpse of the road that got me here. And in the words of Snoop Dogg: “Most of all, I want to thank me for believing in me… doing all this hard work… having no days off… never quitting.” No one handed me this life. I worked for it. For years and years, nonstop. Studying, seminars, PhD, building my practice, writing books, creating content and doing all the extras at the same damn time. And I know so many women will recognize themselves in that. Maybe your hard work looks completely different from mine. Maybe you’re building a career, raising babies, starting over, holding a family together, healing from something nobody sees, or quietly working toward a life that still feels very far away. So when people tell me, “You’re so lucky you can just take time off,” my answer is: I know. I am incredibly lucky. But my luck didn’t fall out of the sky. I worked for years to build a life that eventually gave me the freedom to choose him over working more for this special season of our life. And I’m unapologetically proud of that. I worked my ass off for this chapter. Now I’m going to live it (while still creating content for you 😉). ❤️ And whatever chapter you’re working your ass off for right now, I hope one day you get to stand in the middle of it and think: I built this too.
