My dad is currently not speaking to me because I’ve finally found the courage to leave my emotionally and financially abusive marriage. I’ve expressed my pain on so many occasions and he’s told me that a woman’s place is to endure and anything other than that will destroy my children is rude and disrespectful to my father and my husband. I declined the family meeting, filed for divorce anyway and left my dad and soon to be ex husband to marry each other🙄

I am so glad people are beginning to have courage to speak on these things and call them out! People become so stifled and feel stuck, because they can’t go forward! They constantly have the voices of the parents guilt tripping them. These parents are refusingto hear their children out. No more!
