i looked into a few articles and Im pretty sure its just pausing genital surgeries, hormone stuff and whatnot is still available, and I wouldnt be surprised if it stays cancelled for a while due to budget cuts on the nhs and wales getting a significant more amount of surgery appointments than England, they also stated some stuff about adding more guidelines and helping people understand the seriousness of getting this procedure, realistically there are more important things out there that the money should go towards. but the two reasons are either budget cuts or adding more support and potentially finding out better stuff about the procedure

There must be a collective sigh of relief in Wales today — the NHS isn’t going to be rushing to cut off the breasts of autistic, non-binary, queer teenagers. Apparently, questioning whether this is appropriate is now considered outrageous. 🙄
