just information for those who want to know.......The Colony: Roughly 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats live under the bridge, making it the largest urban bat colony in North America. Peak Season: Late summer (July through September) is the best time to watch the nightly emergence as pups begin to fly.

one of the Largest colonies of bats in North America live under the bridge downtown.. every night at sunset you can see this. lived there 20 years ago and watched it several times.. very cool!

They are going out to feed. They will eat millions and millions of insects like mosquitoes flies moths anything they can get a hold of. We should have bat houses like this in every city in town. They are very very beneficial. 😎
