I won’t defend Noah Schnapp’s initial comments. But I will say during this time it was framed as a terrorist attack and hostage situation (which we obviously now know was a lie and excuse to take over Gaza). And that’s what he responded to. He’s genuinely one of the only celebrities I’ve seen apologize, everyone else was silent. Various celebrities voiced their support for Israel and faced brief backlash and are fine, yet haven’t changed their stance nor apologized. I don’t get the double standard. I think growing up with Israel being praised as a good place and having family/friends there definitely warped his world view. He said he wanted peace, has spoke to Palestinians about it. And as of currently, is friends with a fitness influencer from Gaza and other human rights activists. I highly doubt he’d get that interaction if he hadn’t changed his stance. He also allegedly donated, but the organization couldn’t disclose it because of privacy purposes.
