Pls don’t make ur life about the job.. to many people on the job personality becomes a firefighter all they do and think about is the job.. leave that stuff at the station for your mental and physical health.. (coming from a firefighter with 3 years on and in paramedic school)

Give it a few more years, it gets worse LoL. On top of that, people will talk shit when you'd rather spend time with your family than do work stuff on your off days. Some very wise men once told me, at the end of the day this is still just a job and you have a responsibility to be there for your family. Look at the ones that talk shit and make you feel like you should be at work 24/7, most of them are divorced or deadbeat parents and always complaining about something. Always take care of yourself and family first, because you can't be trusted to take care of your crew or a victim if you can't be trusted to take care of yourself.
