@humanebroward: She’s still here…💔😔 Still waiting. Still hoping. Still watching the world through the kennel door 🥺 5-year-old Mary is our shelter’s longest resident 😔 She’s watched so many dogs around her leave with their new families, and all she can think is “will today finally be the day I get picked?” 🙏❤️‍🩹 She lost her home when her family’s landlord would no longer allow her to stay. Now she’s also dealing with skin allergies, which are made worse by life in the shelter. It’s been a lot for one sweet girl ❤️‍🩹 Even with everything she’s been through, Mary is still so loving. She loves people, comes when she’s called, enjoys being pet, and is always happy to be around her favorite humans. She is a favorite among our staff and volunteers for a reason ❤️ Mary enjoys toys, treats, walks, and just being part of whatever you’re doing. She can be selective with other dogs…she’s not aggressive, but she can be dominant in her play, so a dog meet is required. Her experience with children and cats is unknown. Her allergies are being treated, and with a loving indoor home and routine veterinary care, she can live a happy, comfortable life. 🥰 Thanks to the @bennysbuddies9 program, Mary’s adoption fee is fully covered 🙏 Now all she needs is someone to give her the chance she deserves. ❤️‍🩹 If you can’t adopt, please share.
