I don’t know how or why you appeared on my page. But I’ve been sitting here watching all your stories for like the past two hours one after the other and I just want to point out that you do something most of us don’t do, and it’s a testament to how big God is in your life. You have so much soft, gentle and forgiving talk to yourself and it’s so nice to witness. Most of us talk down to ourselves and I hear you say “ it’s ok, you don’t have to be embarrassed, give yourself grace…”. It’s just so precious to witness that you speak to yourself the way God speaks to you. Thank you for sharing your story. I may not need it for the same situation but I’m definitely getting some perspective on other areas of my life.

That was him STILL TRYING to manipulate/take advantage of your kind heart/insecurities, etc. Many women would have given him 10K or entertained him “needing something” just to stay in the mix; just to be able to say, “Girl, he still needs me.” I’m so glad you gave him the blank face. He will be swimming in regret by this time next year. (If not sooner)

I am so grateful that my Mother who was a stay-at-home Mom, warned my sister and I about falling into the "trap" of marriage. Depending on a man to take care of everything is crazy work! She made sure our brothers taught us how to change our own tires, to keep up with car maintenance. She told us when our husbands give us a dollar, spend half to the kids and keep the next half for ourselves because a man will switch on you without blinking. When a man decides to cut you off they won't stop until they see you begging for bread.

The marriage worked for so long because you yielded to him being in control. When he cheated he thought you would continue to yield to him. He felt entitled to treat you poorly. Good Christian men don’t do that
