get the little lad a pair of motorcross boots its the only option at that age just for full protection. i ride with my son also hes 8. stay safe best wishes from ireland 🇮🇪

Those straps give me so many mixed feelings. It keeps them in place normally but in the event of an accident I don't want my son becoming my human back protector. He stands a better chance of avoiding injury if he comes away from me. So in a way I think yeah use them and in a way I am not sure. That's what puts me off riding with my son
