im my 12 step program, I was instructed to pray for someone who deeply hurt me. the instructions were simple: pray the blessings you want in your life over the person who hurt you every single time you think about them. I was so angry about this but i did it. the freedom i received was incredible. the bitterness left. it was the best gift ever.

Hey Dinx I have a question specifically about this type of thing because of reading theough the Psalms and Jeremiah 18. Jeremiah and the psalmist prays for [just] catastrophe and vengeance against their enemies. How does this incorporate or commentate on praying for our enemies?

I once prayed for a colleague who was unbelievably mean and nasty to me (not an enemy, but I believe the example is relevant here) I prayed that she may be successful. That she will be good at her job. My hope deep down was that she gets a different job. But she didn’t, she is successful, and we have become friends and we talk about God often

I really appreciate your content and I’ve learned a lot from your videos! I have a lot of bitterness towards bad drivers because somebody messed up my life pretty bad a few years ago due to bad driving. I know I’m supposed to forgive but after 2 years I still struggle with it. I’m going to try praying for her and see if that will help. Thank you again!
