I think a lot of people forget that college doesnt just teach u the information u need to be a successful engineer, but it trains u to think like an engineer (a problem solver). Will u be doing kinematics problems all day at ur job? Probably not but u need to look at a problem and be able to solve it.

To AP physics algebra based last year, my junior year in highschool, and didn’t understand a damn thing. I’ve been thinking about engineering but like physics just made no sense to me. I wish I woulda took calc 2 this year tho cuz I had the opportunity but I alr have 7 math credits n didn’t wanna take another math class my senior year

Junior year high school ap physics 1 was the single most influential class I took on my brains development. Physics makes you more intelligent, and introducing new ways to problem solve.

what are some pre requisites to have before attacking physics and do you recommend any textbooks?

Absolutely agree with you!Physics has value beyond learning formulas. It teaches us to break down complex problems into smaller sections, solve problems step by step, develop efficient strategies, and think creatively. These are transferable skills we use in any field.

I still haven’t graduated, but do we genuinely don’t use it ? I mean we do use it but on simulators, no ?

Physics and math gives you an analytical mind, which is the only mind you need to get like straight As in any degree, anyone who got straight As in school/college did maths/physics

Computational Chemistry. A synthesized compound didn't work as predicted. On investigation, the problem turned out to be: Quantum tunneling!

Physics, mathematics and chemistry or all other fundamental science subjects are the building blocks of engineering, once you learned enough of these subjects it’s time to focus on your engineering specialties.
