#retroactivejealosy #viral #goviral #щп #рек Retroactive jealousy is when your partner’s past starts hurting you, even though they haven’t done anything wrong in the present. You know logically that it happened before you. You know you weren’t even in their life back then. You know they had relationships, experiences, memories, and a life before they met you. But somehow, your brain still treats their past like a threat. You start thinking about their exes. You imagine what they looked like. What they were like. What their relationship was like. How much your partner loved them. What they did together. What your partner felt for them. And sometimes your brain creates images that you never even wanted to see. The worst part is that you might not even know many details, but your mind starts demanding them. “How long were they together?” “Did you love them?” “Were they better than me?” “Did you have more chemistry with them?” “What did you do together?” “Why did you break up?” “Do you still think about them?” “Was she prettier than me?” “Was he more attractive than me?” “Was your relationship better than ours?” And you start believing that if you just find out everything, you’ll finally feel okay. So you ask questions. You get an answer. For a few minutes, you feel relieved. And then another question appears. So you ask again. And again. You start looking through old photos. You check their social media. You look at old posts. You search for their exes. You compare yourself to people you’ve never even met. You try to reconstruct a relationship that ended years before you were even there. And suddenly, you’re lying next to the person you love, but your mind is somewhere in their past. You’re not experiencing the relationship you have. You’re fighting a relationship that doesn’t even exist anymore. And that’s one of the most painful parts of retroactive jealousy. You’re trying to understand the past because you want to feel safe in the present. But the more you investigate the past, the more unsafe the present starts to feel. Because eventually, it stops being about the ex. It becomes about you. “Am I good enough?” “Am I attractive enough?” “Do they love me as much?” “Am I better than them?” “What if my partner compares us?” “What if they had something with their ex that they’ll never have with me?” “What if I’m not enough?” And suddenly, their ex becomes a symbol of all your deepest insecurities. You’re not really competing with a person from the past anymore. You’re competing with an image your own mind created. And that image is almost impossible to beat. Because you’re comparing yourself to memories, old photos, incomplete information, and things you’ve imagined. You don’t actually know what that relationship was like. You don’t know everything your partner felt. You don’t know what happened behind closed doors. You don’t know how they changed during that period of their life. You don’t know why the relationship ended. But your brain fills in all the missing information. And when you’re anxious, it usually fills the gaps with the worst possible scenario. “Maybe they were happier.” “Maybe they loved them more.” “Maybe their ex was more attractive.” “Maybe their connection was stronger.” “Maybe my partner still has feelings.” And the important thing to remember is this: A feeling is not always a fact. Your anxiety can be completely real without the story it’s telling you being true. Sometimes retroactive jealousy makes you want complete certainty. You want to know everything. Every detail. Every memory. Every relationship. Every feeling. Every intimate experience. You think that knowing everything will finally make you feel secure. But sometimes, the opposite happens. The more details you collect, the more things your brain has to obsess over. You ask a question because you’re anxious. You get reassurance. You feel better for a moment. Then the anxiety comes back. So you ask another question. And the cycle continues. That’s why healing isn’t always about learning more about your partner’s past. Sometimes healing mea
