@insiderphysicaltherapy: Leg Out? Hip Out? Rotated Pelvis? If one foot naturally points outward and you have good hip external rotation on that same side, your hip is likely resting in an externally rotated bias. However, if that foot turns outward but you actually have limited hip external rotation, the issue may be coming from your pelvis. A pelvis that is rotated toward that side can make the entire leg appear turned out, even though the hip itself isn't externally rotated. This is a movement pattern I see frequently in my patients, so I hope this helps you better understand what's going on. Exercise 1: Hip Internal Rotation Stretch 3x30 seconds Exercise 2: Lumbar Roll Stretch 3x30 seconds Both exercises can be performed daily. If you notice improvement after about 2 weeks, continue them as needed to help maintain your mobility and movement. #duckfeet, #legshape, #rotatedleg, #legalignment, #legposture #posture, #posturecorrection, #unevenpelvis, #rotatedpelvis, #unevenposture, #pelvictilt, #unevenstanding, #hipstiffness, #unevenwalking Insider Physical Therapy ----- Disclaimer: The information presented is not intended as medical advice or to be a substitute for medical counseling but is intended for entertainment purposes only.
