If he abandons the sin, seeks forgiveness, and repents, then his heart will be polished. If he returns to the sin, the blackness will be increased until it overcomes his heart. First of all it was never about skin one of the greatest companions was a African and he was the worry to do athan second of all when he says “whitened your face” he means brightened open up any Hadith translation and your gonna see and proof of that is that Arabs have a saying which says بيض الله وجهك which means may Allah brighten your face because light and brightness’s is usually whiter then blacker

You misunderstood, a whitened face in Arabic is an expression for being a calming and pleasant or easy to look at, the original Arabic being ‘wajh ammawar” with “noor” meaning literally “light”, furthermore black could also be an expression for being a vile person, which it is often used in literature
