Every two months, I have to get my extensions moved up, and every time that moment comes, my heart sinks. Seeing my hair as it really is brings me right back to everything I’ve been through. I can’t help but cry, even after all these years. Hair loss, whether caused by illness, treatment, or a disorder, is a deeply painful experience that so many people go through in silence. Because it is still such a taboo subject, and because society places so much importance on appearance, too many people are afraid to talk about it. But there is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. Whether temporary or permanent, this struggle is real and deserves to be heard. Seeking help, sharing your story, and looking for solutions are not only valid, but essential. I have been through this myself. I was very ill, I lost my hair for years, and even today, I continue to face this struggle. I know how difficult it can be, but I want you to remember one thing: you are not alone. This pain should not be silenced. It deserves to be acknowledged, understood, and supported. If you need comfort, advice, or simply someone to listen, know that I am here for you. Speak up. Let’s break this taboo together. 🖤
