my local shelter doesn't allow anyone to adopt a dog if theres a disabled person living in the house, so we had to buy a dog. we were denied bc my dad is physically disabled & can only do 20min walks. there was 4 other people living in that house, all over the age of 17, all perfectly healthy, that could take the dog on longer walks but the shelter didn't give a fuk

I agree…. Not every bought dog is bad but it becomes bad when you buy, then you surrender, abandon or neglect them once they are older ….or getting them for the purpose of mating them to make money ….. you shouldn’t own a dog if those are your intentions….. I have 2 rescues… one that we took from a family (gsd) and another we found on the streets (Belgian mal)
