@isabelghisolfi: When someone cries in session with me, I’m usually paying very close attention. I want to support them, but support doesn’t always mean trying to make the feeling go away. Sometimes it means getting a little quieter, slowing things down, and making room for whatever is coming up. That can feel different from what happens outside the therapy room, where tears are often met with reassurance, fixing, or an instinct to make things better as quickly as possible. #therapy #therapytok #psychotherapy #MentalHealth #selfawareness

I nearly cried in therapy for the first time but fortunately my cat managed to be a menace and distracted me.

Kovu service dog :
I do not cry in front of people and any time I was about to cry in therapy I would get up and leave or stop talking and pull it together. over the 6 years of working with mine she has gotten to know my dog very well and when he recently passed and I cried for the first time in front of her cause he meant/means the world to me my therapist cried aswell.
