The Quraysh launched a massive search operation and offered a huge reward for anyone who could capture Prophet Muhammad . Eventually, the search party reached the cave. They stood right at the entrance. Abu Bakr (RA) became worried and said: "O Messenger of Allah, if one of them were to look down at his feet, he would see us." The Prophet a replied: "Do not grieve; indeed Allah is with us." (Quran 9:40) Allah then protected them. By Allah's command, a spider spun its web across the entrance and birds nested nearby. Seeing this, the pursuers thought no one could possibly be inside and turned back. The Prophet a and Abu Bakr (RA) remained safe and later continued their journey to Madinah, marking the beginning of the Islamic Hijrah.
