The ‘almost losing my house’ story is wild from a U.K. perspective. I couldn’t imagine not having sick pay let alone 20% cut in pay for holidays. I’d get all of that at sick at 100% plus my normal 30 days holiday, plus bank holidays and discretionary holiday leave (week between Xmas and NYE) all without losing a penny.
