@dutchgrown: We grew all three Café au Lait dahlias side by side to see which one actually deserves the hype We couldn't decide which Café au Lait was actually the best one, so we planted the classic, Rose, and Twist next to each other this year to settle it once and for all. Didn't settle anything. Turns out they're just different flowers wearing the same shape. Classic is the one everyone expects, soft and creamy, no surprises. Rose leans warmer, more of a blush than people picture when they hear "café au lait." Twist is the one that actually made us stop and look twice, the streaking is never quite the same on any two blooms. If you've only grown the classic, worth trying one of the other two next season. Curious which one you'd pick if you could only grow one. #Dahlia #Dahlias #dahliacafeaulaitrose #dahliacafeaulait #DutchGrown #FlowerGarden #CutFlowers
