Aside from the hurt we feel on the receiving end of this behavior, you know what really sucks? Genuinely caring about that person, and wanting the best things for that person, and you can’t do a single thing to help them fix themselves if they don’t want it… so you just watch someone you love/loved sabotage things that could’ve been good with a little bit of communication. Specifically talking about DA’s.

Avoidants will ask for space a clearly state they need down time. What is overwhelming is anxious attached people who cannot function without 24/7 reassurance. It’s exhausting.

they say avoidants typically feel relief after discarding you. I was reverse discarded and honestly my avoidant was very emotional/anxious after and did not feel relief, then boom a month later i reached out and she was even icier cold and completely flipped a switch
