PA here. I vaccinated my kids on time. Yes, it does seem a lot all at once but there are a lot of families here in PA who don’t vaccinate. Why put my kids at risk getting diseases from others or giving diseases to others?

I hate that moms are the ones blamed for almost all parenting decisions as if we don’t discuss things either our partners beforehand.

The fact that diseases that had almost been eradicated are back and killing people is a disgrace.

There is a glorious irony in the catholic schools refusing to accept a religious exemption to vaccines

I just turned 50 and my dr asked if I want the shingles vaccine. I had shingles at 18 because I had the chickenpox at 2. It was incredibly painful so knowing that pain I said yes please. My kids are now 21 and 25 and had all the vaccines available growing up. My son even serves in the Navy. There are inherent risks when getting a vaccine but the good ( not having to live in an iron lung for example) out weigh the bad.

uk here. my children have never had measles, mumps, rubella, flu. thanks to the vaccines they have received. they also protected other people from getting it by highly reducing the disease in the community.

Children should be protected. I don’t want my family to contract polio, mumps, measles, etc…

i made the decision to vaccinate my children because they were healthy enough to receive them & some children aren't. i wanted my kids to be part of the immune herd that would protect *that* child's already compromised health!! I didn't want my kids to be a contributing factor in the death of another child

Yeah and being that I don’t produce my own immunities, so everywhere I go I have to wear a mask! I can’t go out to eat because of stupid people who will not get vaccinated! So yes thank you very much!🙄

I loved my children enough to give them every vaccine against preventable diseases. NOT SORRY. They are both healthy, intelligent adults now. Thanks to vaccines

When I was interviewing pediatricians right before my son was born, I asked why there were so many, and the doctor very plainly said “well science has discovered more things ma’am.” That did it for me.

As a Neonatal ICU nurse, I am 100% for vaccines. I also understand the concern about the amount given at each appointment. You can slow vax, meaning getting 1-2 every month their first year of life to spread out how many vaccines the baby’s immune system has to manage at once. But if they are going to daycare, they need to follow the standard vaccine schedule. And it's important to understand vaccination does not always equal immunity. I've had to get both MMR and Varicella boosters as an adult. I have a coworker who, after three rounds of Hep B vaccine sequences still has not developed immunity. When the first measles outbreak occurred a few years ago, I made all my family get immunity titers done, because that's the only way to confirm immunity.

I would never shame a mom for her decisions. However if you are deciding to not vaccinate your children, which is your right, you need to put them in alternative schooling so they don’t spread diseases and more importantly they don’t get sick. I feel that part is not talked about enough. Florida wants to remove all vaccination requirements. My kids will be protected. Aren’t you worried about putting your child in a very public unsafe place for germs? Public schools don’t have the money to be sanitize bombing every classroom every day. It only takes one kid that wasn’t vaccinated and is sick and the parents made them go to school. It’s not worth it.

I’m ssSSOOoo fucking tired of these people. If my kids’ DOCTOR says it’s 94 shots…then it’s 94 shots. I’ll be skipping the Temu Macaulay Culkin’s advice.
