A lawyer will make a big difference. We got one of the lawyers off of a TV commercial and my husband was granted Disability immediately.

Disability is non garnishable, always have it direct deposited into your bank so it’s identified as disability money. I have student loans, but I’m not required to make payments due to my disability payment being low. If you’re disability is on a 3 year review you cannot apply to have your student loans forgiven, but if you’re on a 5 year review they consider you permanently disabled and will forgive your student loans. Social security office can tell you whether you’re on a 3, or 5, year review, and give you proof for your school loans if you’re on a 5 year. Hopefully that makes sense lol.

There are key words you need to use to get approved. Speak about HOW working doesn’t work, such as I cannot be RELIABLE, I need frequent mental breaks making me unable to stay focused on my job, my memory makes me a high risk for making major errors with big ramifications. Say things like that

I’m disabled and starting to apply for disability. All of the people I know who finally got it, took a minimum of 3 denials before getting it. It’s ridiculous but don’t give up.

Look into congressional inquiries. My husband also has a compassionate allowance disease but we had trouble with the first part of the application and getting help completing it. The inquiry brought our application to their attention and we were able to get help within a week. It was a lifesaver!

When I became disabled they wrote off my student loan. They will dismiss them for you

I signed for one of my daughters student loans and after my disability was approved I received a letter stating that the loan was forgiven. My disability was approved in 2018 and I received the forgiveness letter in 2021.

My husband was diagnosed at the age of 60, which is still young, but not as young as you are… Social Security scheduled and did their own testing because his neurologist had not done the proper testing and immediately put him on disability. Don’t give up keep trying you deserve it.

you SHOULD be getting a Retro day you applied for disability..You could always use that to possibly pay the loans....BUT....I'd say not to worry about them. Keep any money that you get and use it towards yourself & your family. I'm sorry to hear that you are going thru this. Your symptoms scare me. I'm 45yrs old (46 on Sept 25th). I have Fibromyalgia which comes with "Brain Fog" ....which is exactly how you described "messing up words/not using correct words"... oye. Oh...also....at the hearing... you basically have to face the judge & convince them that there isn't ANY job that you can do. Rule out all jobs... even like babysitting. It's great that you have a lawyer tho...that helps ALOT. BEST of luck to YOU. HUGS!! 💚💙💜
