@mindbrainbodylab: Avoidants process breakups differently than anxiously attached humans. Which can insult to injury if you're not ready for it. It's a timeline mismatch. The anxious side breaks early… and the avoidant side breaks later. It’s a pattern I see in almost every client I work with. It looks like they don't care and have moved on, but that's not usually the case. Here’s the part no one warns you about though: The avoidant’s regret is not a sign you were meant to reconnect. It’s a sign they finally slowed down enough to feel the pain they ran from. Your healing wasn’t an accident. It was a choice, one they didn’t make. If you’re somewhere between “I’m fine” and “Why does this still hit me out of nowhere,” you’re not broken. You’re just closing a chapter they never learned how to finish. Follow if you’re done carrying unfinished heartbreak into your next love. #dating #anxiousattachment #Love #datingafterheartbreak #nervoussystem
It's so funny because you think the avoidant would be alone for 6 months haha they have someone new by 1 month and don't care after that

It’s called being an adult. Adults communicate. Adults have the hard conversations. What I would give to have an honest conversation with her; but she won’t so I have to move on. No amount of “emotional fragility” can excuse inability to communicate. Be an adult

OK so I'm kinda confused, recently I saw lots of videos about avoidant attachment and now I can't understand that I left because I didn't love that person or it's just because I'm an avoidant, how can I tell the difference?

When does the 'not wanting them back' happen? Over 3 months now and I still break down daily wondering how he could walk away so easily after 5 1/2 years while I'm struggling to get out of bed, my pillow has tear stains, I am in physical pain from the emotional stress. The only time I feel any relief is when I'm distracted by helping a friend or family member with something they're dealing with. And if I take a break from that for just a moment I find myself in distress agsin. I thought he was my person. I still feel like he is my person. He just decided that I'm not his.... Missing someone who knows exactly where you are is a different kind of pain.

he broke up with me, and told me he didn't regret breaking up with me then after 2 months of no contact he messaged me asking how am I doing... I asked him. what was he thinking and why does he still cares about me so I asked him if he still loves me because I am confused. and this was his reply.
is this also considered as avoidant?

What is the anxious attachment person? Do? It's been seven weeks since a break up in three weeks since no contact and I'm missing her like crazy. My birthday is also coming up and I just got a new job and all I wanted to do was tell her about it. I keep on a compilation these amazing goals and all I want to do is just tell her about it but I can't and all I wanna do is just tell her that I want to work through things. I want to be the rock. I want to be the person in the boat through the storm I want to be her shoulder to cry on while we figure things out while she forgets things out cause I'm not going anywhere cause I'm not.

Now what does it look like when the avoidant just keeps getting in new relationships. Minimum a year, some as long as 3-6 years always moves on within 4-6 months of the breakup to live with the new partner.

Why their appearance always change if I may ask? Could it be stress? I was shocked to see my ex sending me his photo after two weeks of asking me we should take a break. I discovered that he was already back on dating apps even telling strangers that he is single on dating apps, that he broke up with me but would not give me that clarity or closure when I ask him. Hence when I confronted him and asked him about it he the. Ignored me and gave me silent treatment since ever . It’s now been a month of no contact . But my question is why this avoidants always lose so much weight. 😭 I got so worried about him.

I was going through one of the toughest situations I have ever dealt with in my life. My entire world was crashing around me and I had nobody there. The person that I loved the most just threw me and my kids away. All I wanted was her support and love to help guide me. But instead I was no longer good enough and she moved out, found someone on a one night stand and poof, kissed away something great that we had. @Lindsay P god I miss all of those good times.
