Just 2 exits up in Fellsmere another surf park is currently being built. I’m pretty sure a wave pool was never actually in the cards for Ft Pierce.

KOA was going to bring a Resort, Surf Tourism, and have one of the only Wave Park in the US. Citizens have been fighting the plans in community meetings but it's VERY clear Big Tech Money means FAR more than bringing any potential positive growth to the community, here. We put a Moratorium on Project Tango in WPB and Martin County is fighting there Data Center, Now Ft pierce is being forced into having One without community consent or vote. We are Overcrowded, under funded in our infrastructure and social programs but THANK GOD we got a Data Center no one needed and some more Car washes.

They were supposed to build a surf park in Volusia-New Smyrna a few years ago then scrapped that, now they are building homes on 70000 acres. I wonder if they do this to help rezone the property

Yup I live in Fort Pierce. We never needed a surf park and houses but we sure as fuck don’t need a data center

Gonna be interesting to see how they're going to get around the bald eagle nest on site. I'd also like to see their plans for the ¾ of the water filtration catchment pond they're proposing to fill in to build.
