You don't need a good idea before you open your editor. You need a starting point. Open Replit and click Free Mode so every prompt is on a free model. Ask it straight up what you should build, or ask it to brainstorm with you. Tell it what you care about, like productivity, money, school, whatever you're into. Go back and forth until one idea actually sounds fun to you. Ask it how to make that idea stand out, then build what it gives you. Now the part I really need you to hear. You ARE allowed to get your project idea from AI. You're supposed to. The people shipping the most projects right now are doing this same thing. They just don't say it out loud. Because what happens otherwise is you wait for the perfect original idea to hit you. A month goes by. Then a semester. Your GitHub still has nothing in it. That waiting is the whole reason most people never build anything. Free Mode is what makes this easy for me. I can go back and forth as long as I want without watching the cost of every message. So many people can think about building something. Almost nobody opens the editor.
