@nbcnews: After a devastating wildfire caused an estimated $2 billion in damage in Boulder County, Colorado, the county is suing fossil fuel companies they see as partly responsible due to their contributions to climate change. NBC News' Lawrence Hurley breaks down Boulder County's suit and the legal question the U.S. Supreme Court will tackle when they hear the case in October.

You would have to prove they have anything to do with global warming. You can’t prove that .

At this stage it's "which rich entity can we sue cause our horrible policies bit is in the butt" with bad fire prevention and management. Will the percentage of contribution be calculated? Will good contribution be deducted? You know, having transport and plastics and lights etc?

Considering the fire was caused by two different things one would be somebody burning something that they shouldn’t have and an electrical company. Don’t see how you can actually blame fossil fuels for this.
