The important thing is that psychosis isn’t necessarily like suddenly becoming completely disconnected from reality in every possible way. It can be partial, fluctuating, and surprisingly subtle. Someone can be psychotic while still being able to have an ordinary conversation, know their name and location, make food, use their phone, or recognize people they know.
