Hate how delusional the mother was. Race had nothing to do with the selection process and he was actually a candidate BEFORE Hal Jordan. John Sr. literally described the entire experience and nothing about it hinted towards race😭

Yo im ngl ion think John was afraid of the ring it’s self more or less his family’s safety. Like you in a green bubble with the rest of yo fam in da house and a voice asking you if you scared. Now as a marine ion think he was scared about that I think it because he knew Jon was in the room and Jon’s mom had js went to go check up in the other boys so he thought something might happen to him and his family
