I could not possibly agree with you more! My kids are 24, 21, and 10. I can honestly say I have raised two respectful, loving and downright Good Humans who cuss like sailors, just like their mama! One of which, actually is a Sailor, but they know when and where to use it. The little one is still 'in training'. 😊 They're going to experience these things anyway, most likely when we're not around, so we might as well teach them how to handle it proplerly before they learn it the wrong way from others and/or in secrecy. Be open with them and they'll be open with you.

I parent the same way brother. I was raised in a house where cussing would get your mouth washed out with soap. Love my parents great people, but all 3 of their kids 2 being ladies and me all cuss like sailors. I have cussed in front of my kids from day one and they have no want to cuss. Just keep doing you man.

I’m a prime example of this! My ex and I divorced later because of how differently we were raised. Mine were chill and his were strict and he was the biggest fuck up in life and I’m a perfect angel 🤣

I raised my kids by myself and I found I had to pick my battles. My son would get mad when I would swear, one time I told him I was damn tired of his whining, he told me he didn’t like it when I cuss. Being the mature person I was at the time I stood in the middle of the room saying fuck, over and over. I really didn’t cuss that much, but not even my son was going to tell me what to do!😂

My parents let me drink at the house at a early age . It was cool . But it wasn’t a big thing . They rather I do it in front of then do it behind their back. Get in trouble or in jail . The cussing deal . I cussed before I was told I could . My parents didn’t know till I slipped. Then my parents where like you going to do it . You’re old enough now . But you’re going to be respectful and use it when it’s necessary and correctly. My son is 17

I did the same thing with my boys, and I agree with you, now my boys are 21 and 16, they both come to me with everything. The good the bad and the ugly, I know it all and guide them through it!

If you don’t teach them and explain to them how things work. The world will teach them all the wrong things. A lot of parents don’t understand this concept!! Friends and the the world will do more harm if they don’t know.

I totally agree with you 100%. My daughter who just turned 18 asks me to drink which I’m glad she does and is not doing it behind my back and making wrong choices. I would rather her do it in front of me. She won’t curse she will say is it ok if I say a curse word. Keep up the good job!!!!
