Actually salt has been used for thousands of years going back to the Roman days. Salt was so valuable because it helped persevered meat that they were paid in salt. That’s where we get the word salary

there were no cows in the americas pre-columbian. the meso-americans didnt consume animal protein all that much. they domesticated turkeys but they were mostly kept for their feathers and occasionally ate them. this doesnt sound very accurate or a common practice. there was deer, duck, rabbits, and other small mammals but wasnt commonly eaten either.

you do realize aztecs have a lot more better stuff the europeans ?=like rivers ,water everywhere everytype of vegetable or fruit grown and other things like vanila,cacao,oils,etc،and every type of wild meats cmon dont compare for no reason
