@worldstar: A Las Vegas jury has found Duane “Keffe D” Davis guilty of first degree murder in the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur. The jury returned its verdict Monday, convicting the 63 year old of murder with the use of a deadly weapon and with the intent to promote, further or assist a criminal gang. Davis now faces a possible maximum sentence of life in prison. Prosecutors never alleged that Davis pulled the trigger during the September 1996 drive by shooting. Instead, they portrayed him as the “shot caller” who provided the gun to the shooter, believed to have been his nephew, Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, or another man in the back seat. Prosecutors argued Davis orchestrated the shooting as retaliation after Tupac and his entourage fought with Anderson earlier that night. The conviction marks the first in connection with Tupac’s murder, closing a nearly 30 year chapter in one of music history’s most infamous unsolved killings.
