totally agree. I think the worst advice I got when I started traveling was to get a cheap room because "you're only sleeping in it". No, I'm also spending my morning and evening there which can add up to half my trip! And if I can't get a good night's rest the whole trip is ruined

Direct flight is a must unless I absolutely I can’t do one or it saves like a significant amount of money. Better hotel always worth it over a cheaper even if it’s for one night.

If the flight is more than 4 hours then I actually prefer one layover that’s between 1 to 3 hours long
